EBSA Seeks Nominations for ERISA Advisory Council; Nominations Due October 23

The Department of Labor's (DOL) Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) requests nominations for five openings on the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans due to term expirations at the end of 2023. The 15-member council is appointed by the Secretary of Labor. Members review and appraise ERISA programs and meet at least four times a year. Members are appointed for three-year terms.
The five openings represent the following groups or fields:
- Employee organizations
- Employers
- General Public
- Corporate Trust, and
- Investment Management.
The Council website
explains the role of the Council. The time commitment for attending
meetings and actively participating in the Council is at least 20 days
per year. The Department of Labor (DOL) is committed to equal
