ERISA Advisory Council Meeting Scheduled for December 11 - 12; Statements Due December 4

The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) announced the 220th meeting of the Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans (ERISA Advisory Council) to be held both in person and via teleconference on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ET) and on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (ET).

The purpose of the open meeting is for members to finalize and present their observations and recommendations on the two issues studied in 2023: Long-Term Disability Benefits and Mental Health Disparity, and Recordkeeping in the Electronic Age. In addition, the meeting includes an update from leadership of the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA).

Instructions for public teleconference access will be available on the ERISA Advisory Council’s web page approximately one week prior to the meeting.

Statements are due Monday, December 4, 2023.
