Foundations of Trust Management Standards (FTMS®)
FTMS Virtual - Online Option to Earn Your FTMS
This self-paced virtual option of the Foundations of Trust Management Standards (FTMS®) program brings the same high-quality education found at the in-person program
into an online learning environment to meet your educational needs.
Enrollees will learn from the same in-person industry practitioners
about the key knowledge areas of Legal, Administration and Governance,
and Funding/Investment/Finance.
Foundations of Trust Management Standards (FTMS) is the first step, focused on the needs of new Canadian trustees. FTMS is for those who must learn and understand basic principles of effective trust fund management.
Together, FTMS, ATMS and MTMS provide the ideal blend of knowledge, skill and experience needed for effective management of trusts. To get the most value out of this education, it is recommended that individuals leave enough time between each step on the path to practice and apply their classroom learning.
FTMS Topics
FTMS focuses on baseline knowledge and understanding of the four key knowledge areas listed below, ensuring that participants comprehend the foundational information necessary to fulfill their responsibilities as trustees.
