Organizations Adding More Fertility and Adoption Support

Fertility and family-planning benefits remain top of mind for many organizations as they evaluate benefit packages for the year ahead. The International Foundation has been tracking fertility and family-forming benefits over the past eight years. According to the Foundation’s Employee Benefits Survey: 2024 Report, 42% of U.S. organizations currently offer fertility benefits.

Employers Project 8% Rise in Health Care Costs for 2025

U.S. employers project a median health care cost increase of 8% for 2025, according to International Foundation survey results. This is an increase over similar surveys conducted in 2022 and 2023, which projected a 7% rise in costs. Specialty drugs and catastrophic claims are considered the primary reasons for increased costs.

Employer Coverage of GLP-1 Drugs on the Rise

A new survey report from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans reveals updated U.S. employer coverage surrounding glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) drugs. The International Foundation first conducted this survey in October 2023. Considering the growing prominence of this category of pharmaceuticals, a new pulse survey on GLP-1 drugs was deployed in May 2024.
